I was thinking a lot about my dad. I went and bought a bunch of scrapbooking supplies and am working on creating a scrap book of my family memories. It has been a really emotional weekend.
I miss my dad, he was so funny and such a really great man.
RIP dad, May 26, 1929 - April 25, 2005

On his way to Korea after time at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Right after this photo with his uncle he was sent to Korea where he ran the machine shop and kept electricity going for the medical unit he was with and saved countless lives I'm sure by keeping electricity on 99% of the time. He had the best track record of the war for electricity and recieved several medals and was offered a purple heart when a battery exploded on him. He declined it becasue he thought his comrads who lost limbs and lives deserved it more than he did for a little blood and some chemical burns.
