Whew!! Busy few days! I had my Interior Design final project due and my son had his science fair project due on the same day. What a night! I have had like 2 hours of sleep in the last 48 hours.
The good news is I should have As in all of my classes! I registered for next semester today too. Only two classes, but they are supposed to both be homework nightmares. Pleh! I hate homework. Oh well. One is a night class that goes for 4 hours. I dont even want to think about what we are supposed to do for that long in one class. I guess Im secretly hoping the teacher will let us out early a lot.
I keep meeting interesting people on this web site, people with all kinds of jobs, and hobbies and other stuff.
Tell me something interesting about you. Tell me what kind of work you do, is it a career or a job? If it is just a job what do you really want to be doing?

Doing something I love for a job would take the pleasure out of it, eventually.
So I choose to do a relatively simple, low hassle job and to enjoy my hobbies/interests when I want.
congrats on the grades, that is awesome. what i think may actually be a bit more awesome tho, is the way your sweet angel of a son watched over you when you were sick... i had the same thing you had, i just got over it last week. it started with the pukie migraine thing and then went to full fleadged punemonia (sp?) so that was fun..
as far as jobs? well i have been a body piercer, a waitress, and a trained chef in my life time, and i have recently finally left the godforsaken restaurant industry to start something completely new and it turns out that i am more happy, proud, driven and satisfied than i have ever been in my whole life.
I work for a firm that does beverage indusrty compliance. we handle everything from land use for anyone who is opening a winery or tasting room, to the licensing for shipping, recieving, taxes, state compliance requirements and filing for permits, sellers and producers licenses, lable approvals etc. etc. for beer, malted beverages, and distilled spirits. some of our clients are seagrams, jack daniels, grolsch, heinekin, bombay saphire, quervo, etc. it is very time consuming, and quite busy but it is so interesting and fun. I work in an awesome office with 7 other people from all walks of life between the ages of 24-50, who quote the movie office space freely, and send eachother nasty e-mails all day. we have a blast, and are one of the leaders in the compliance industry. our owner is a 34 yr old female, and she hired me despite being covered with tattoos because she believed in me had dealt with me since i had catered a couple of events for her, she said she had big plans for me and told me that i was the only person that she wanted for the position and was not even going to interview anyone else. she made a position for me and offered me the best pay and benefits package i have ever had. i believe it is the start of a fantastic career, and i am so lucky to have it!
