It's a funny thing how hiring the reputed best real estate lawyer in town gets people to speak to you in a different tone. We haven't even had our meeting yet but we did let the other party know we have hired him. Our agent also notified them of his intent to sue for his lost commission if they back out of this deal.
They were so polite and not convinced in their rightness all of a sudden. Weird how that works. I guess we will be hearing from them shortly after they have a meeting to figure out how to save face. In our contract they are responsible for legal fees if we have to take them to court. The guy we hired is not cheap

Awww they even sent an apology. And our deal is moving forward.

i just wanted to thank you for your response to my post about fundraising in the GO group...it was incredibly sweet of you to write so much, it's obvious you're a very kind and giving person, it means a lot. i've forwarded the info along to the family, as i'm not sure what routes they're ready to pursue just yet. for now the little guy's doing better at the hospital, not in as much pain, much better spirits, so that's at least a glimmer of goodness.
