George Stephanopoulos lives in my neighborhood.

The Clinton-advisor turned ABC news anchor and I had yet another awkward encounter last night at the local mini-mart.

All the dudes in that mini-mart know me because i eat every meal there because i'm too busy/lazy to go to the real supermarket.

So i barge in as usual and blurt out to the dude behind the register, 'hey man, what's up?'

And when i do this, i notice that there is some dude crouched in one of the aisles who suddenly turns to me like i'm talking to him and looks really alarmed. and i didn't really look at him, but i'm thinking 'relax dude, i'm not talking to you.'

but he's crouched right by the tuna fish, which is what i eat for every meal. (i know, it's weird, everybody tells me, but i don't like to wash dishes, and tuna is easy and healthy.) so i shuffle over to the tuna, and this dude suddenly scurries off. and i'm thinking, 'relax dude, all i need is tuna.'

so then i grab some beer and some coffee, and i go to pay.

then this dude comes up behind me in line, and i look over, and that's when i realize it's george s. (too long a last name to spell out.) so i ignore him as usual and pay for my shit, but the counter is really small, and he starts putting his groceries down before i'm done. like he put his zucchini, like, ON my arm while i'm trying to sign the credit card receipt. like, dude, until i hand this dude back the white slip, this transaction is still in progress - mellow out.

it must be weird being famous.
