I survived going to Auckland! Only just ,though. The day we drove to Dunedin (where our flight left from, about a 2 1/2 hour drive) there was flooding on the highway and surrounding towns so the roads were closed. Luckily, the guy we were giving a lift up to Dunedin had a friend living close by so we got to spend the night in a nice warm house instead of in the freezing cold car.
Auckland wasn't that great, but Opeth were fucking awesome! I loved every minute of it. Next time they come this way, I may have to venture over to Australia to see the concerts there too.
I bought lots. I spent a disgusting amount of money on public transport and witnessed one of our bus drivers rip the side of his bus off. I'm gutted I didn't get photos of that.
