ooo so i just found out today in my HIST 2010 class that TN has more statues of 1 individual than any other state (btw i reside in TN). who might this famous person be ? perhaps one of the great presidents weve presented the US? is it andrew jackson ? the person who was only elected because he was good at killing 'injuns' ? or maybe James K. Polk, another great Tennessean who did all he could to make slavery stay. NO! its neither of these 2. so who is it? u guessed it (or maybe u didnt) the person that TN has 32 statues of (more than any other state has of 1 individual) Nathan Bedford Forrest ladies and gentleman. u might know him as 1 of the founders of the infamous Ku Klux Klan wow..... why are these statues still up ? idk.... fight the future and fuck the past!
