reposted from my myspace:
As most of you know, I have run a recording studio in my basement for the past year or so, and have invested alot of time, effort and money into making it a great place to record.
Well this coming Monday I will be opening a new recording studio, in a kick ass facility located near Delilahs. We got our business incorporated and got our license. We planned on being open for business a week later. Everything became official yesterday.
But then disaster struck....
My basement flooded about 4 or 5 inches last night.
A ton of my studio gear is ruined, and hopefully my insurance will help to replace all that has been destroyed. It just kills me that after a year and a half or so living here, I have never had a problem like this.
We had the city inspector come in and he told us that not only was the plumbing in the house "fixed" and hooked up illegally, but also that our electricty was fucked up and that we had mold.
This has been a horrible 2 days.
