Bent out of shape: if "things" in general (i.e. possessions, accessories, decisions, ideas and ideals) were not menacing in scope, nor agonizing in degree of infinite finality ("this is the last car I am ever going to own - I will drive it until it can drive no more") wouldn't the consequences associated (i.e. dent on car fender, etc.) be all that much less affecting as well as the degree to which said events would "ripple" throughout one's related self?
