But as Ryan Adams said after he launched into a cover of Wharf Rat: "I don't care what anyone says, the Grateful Dead are punk as fuck." Yet Hunter gets no respect around places like SG. Or anywhere it seems: I just read a letter to editor in No Depression in which the writer berates the magazine for dismissing Hunter and the Dead when they made arguably some of the best country-rock songs ever!
