some background: as previously posted, we're getting sued by our old landlord for rent and utilities. however, we worked for rent which is why we never paid any money. so we are doing what any true californian would do... sue back. and to tell you the truth, i think i've got a hell of a better chance than she does.
i've spent a few hours at work looking up landlord/tenant laws, renter's rights, health and safety codes, just about anything i can find. i don't even care if i win. not that i couldn't USE $5,000... but i'll just be happy if she DOESN'T win.
