I'm three days and $100 away from having a nice little deck with seating for six and al fresco dining for two.

I recycled some old DJ supplies into a functional cookbook for my girl. She was smiling like a nine year-old with a new puppy.

We spent the day beating the heat and avoiding skin cancer by hiding out in a dark theatre watching Johnny Depp doing his best to creep out a whole new generation of kids. Sorry, Johhny, but Gene did it better.

This weekend has been pretty cool. Spent some time with some good friends, met some new friends, and annoyed some other people.
