We had a stage rehearsal with my band for four hours, yesterday. Everything sounded great except for the bass. Our bass player has really crappy gear. He doesn't make much money, so he can't be blamed.

But, being as anal as I am with live performance tone (especially since we don't normally work with good sound guys), I wanted to do something about the bass tone and presence.

So, I went out and bought a brand new Mesa Boogie bass rig.

Now, I just hope he can purchase a really good bass to play through it.

p.s. I found a great home for the puppy I was housing.
