I wish I got the HS-80Ms now. I ended up going for the HS-50Ms for the price but the low end response is nearly non-existent without the add-on subwoofer at low volumes. You really have to crank them up to hear the bass.

Well, the drum tracks are finally finished. But I have another dilemna. Our bass player accidentally knocked over my recording console and now the headphone jacks don't work. I already have the solution but now I have to buy studio monitors. Which I don't have the money.
Despair is a fucking bummer. And it ate me up last night. Thank goodness for the quick recovery.

believe me, i feel your pain. i'm the same way. that's why i decided after my last recordings, regarding anything that i was serious about releasing/promoting, that as much as i love recording, i didn't want to wear the two hats of both musician and engineer in the same session because it was too much. so i decided in the future that i wanted other people to record me when it comes to my own projects, i.e. my babies. otherwise, it's just too chaotic and i end up doing both at 50% as opposed to concentrating on one at 100%.
