Finally got the house back in some semblance of order after the weekend's festivities.
I was mopping up today to the smooth and funky sounds of Quincy Jones' "The Dude", which I highly recommend for anyone looking for that smoothed out, post-disco turn of the decade (1981) funky soul...cause it's got lots of it. Mellow Madness (1975) is also a solid release by 'ol Q. Even though so much of that stuff is super cheesy, it really hits me right in my soul.
I've also been playing a fair amount of KUNG FU CHAOS. It's a pretty fun xbox game. I'm the undefeated champ of the house at the moment.
Watched The Great Escape last night for the first time. Great fucking movie.
And now there is a South African friend of ours en route to hang out this evening. Should be a good time.
And then...hopefully do some more swimming this week, cause it's ridiculously hot in this house.
I'm sweating.
