I just recorded a scratch demo of a new song I'm working on. It's the first one I've written since last spring.
It's called "Culmination at the Matheson House" and I've got it up on MySpace along with another song. I've got more songs up on Audiostreet. Yes, the name of my project (I'm the only member right now save my brother who helps a lot and plays the organ, so it's not actually a "band") is Meaning of Everything. No, I don't think that's too audacious, I feel it is just audacious enough, thank you very much. Heh.
About the song: I'm not certain what key it's in. I tune my guitar CGDGBE and it's capoed at the 5th fret; you figure it out and tell me because I'm trying to learn this stuff. The lyrics for this one are pretty literal, which is different for me. And the song has no discernable chorus, which is pretty normal for me, I've found. I don't write choruses and I don't know why. Seriously, listen to the other songs I've got posted and you'll probably notice it now that I've told you. Maybe I'm just not a formalist. Or maybe I'm a bad writer. Either is pretty likely.
Anyway, enjoy the song and I apologize for kicking the mic stand.

Lots of songs don't have choruses. Smokestack Lightnin' is the first one that comes to mind. Homesick subterranean blues.
I'm taking a statistics class this fall. I'm working on prerequisites for a master's in physical therapy. I might be able to apply in about four years. Career change.
