Please keep my Mom and family in your thoughts and prayers. She has an appointment at USC hospital tomorrow to go over the ultra sound of her lymph nodes (she was recently diagnosed with Melanoma). It would be much appreciated!
On a more positive note, I had an outstanding Independence Day weekend. I was out on my boat on the 4th and pretty much all day today fishing. Got some good sun and some good fish - perfect ending to a holiday weekend.
I also spent a lot of time thinking about the bravery and sacrifices made by a young and new Nation came together and fought against one of the most powerful, infuencial coutries and army in the world at that time. I've spent 26 months in combat in both Afghanistan and Iraq and the bravery of those men and women that put their pure existence on the line for freedom astounds me. I'm thankful for this everyday.
