O.K. The vacation starts today. We're heading off to my sisters house in Idaho for a little fun in the snow. I love it up there. She lives in Hailey( Sun Valley), where everyone is laid back, and the pace is good and slow.
Last week at work was very busy. We're doing a story about a guy who kills two women, puts their bodies in a hole in the ground, then covers them with hot asphalt.
Sounds easy right? We had to pour over 600 pounds of asphalt into a mould containing the bodies, but since the bodies are made of plastic and silicone, they could'nt survive the 450+degree asphalt. So we made plaster duplicates, then broke the plaster out of the moulds.
We also made fiberglass versions of the asphalt blobs. One as a set piece, and one rigged to break in half.
It's easier to blow up a house.

i wonder what they did with the 600 pound concrete mould when they were done.
asphalt and fiberglass would rank up there as two of my least favorite materials to work with. you are a rockstar!
