I decided to build a table for our shop at work. When I'm not designing and building objects to destroy at work, I'm doing some kind of wood work at home. I really enjoy making furniture, so this a treat for me.
We usually just slap some plywood and 2x4's together and call it good. Not today baby! I started with a laminated butcher block top then I designed a trestle base to put it on.
The top was a bitch. It's near imposible to glue twentysix,2" wide, 6' long pieces of wood together without a flat surface to put it on. I happen to be building the flat surface that would be perfect for this. Vicious circle.
I'm writing this in my journal because it makes me happy, and I just wanted you to know.
