bar exam is done with (at least for now). i'll find out in NOV (16th, at 1800 PST, to be exact 
) whether i passed, or have to take it again in FEB. in the meanwhile, i've been visiting my mother every day at the hospital. she's recovering well from a HELLACIOUS surgery. seriously, 12 hours she was in the O.R. but she's a toughie. every serious complication that could have befallen her has befallen her, and yet she still keeps conquering. Go mum! i'm proud.
when i'm not visiting her at the hospital, i'm doing a job search. i've begun turning my attention back to DC because i don't know what kind of condition my mother will be in when she's discharged and so i might need to stick around here for a while. but i have still been sending my resume to firms in SF.
i've also begun looking around for some maritime jobs. some of you might remember that i used to work on fishing boats in AK. i'm looking around on charters, but the big business out here is sailing. so after i get my MD safety cert., i intend to get a basic sailing cert., then i'll try to crew myself out for a charter/cruise service.
anyway, i hope all is well with all y'all. it seems like many of you have greyed out - i hope our paths cross again some day. in the meanwhile, you know where to find me (kinda).

i think i'll be in/around dc next spring. our travel plans got all messed up because i haven't got my travel permit yet so we'll probably go to alberta for christmas and g. wants to see his family sometime in the new year...
