saw The Last Stand last night and it was really really good. i'm glad, b/c a lotta the fanhype from the advance showings was negative. whatever - too many people love to be negative. fuck 'em.
i don't understand that about people. many many people i know think that they always have to be dour and negative, or even "pissed off at the world". granted, there's a fuckload that i'd change in the world given the chance (therefore, i subject myself to the hell of law school), but carrying a burning anger inside oneself at all times, and extinguishing any sign of light or happiness that threatens your gloom is NOT healthy.
what's worse is that i suspect many of these acquaintances wear their veils of disdain like a pair of fancy shoes. is their negativity supposed to impress me?
am i supposed to say, "yes, dude, you are so much cooler than the people you criticise because, unlike those lemmings, YOU have a vicious snarl and aren't satisfied with ANYTHING in this world...man, if only i could be as depressed and pissed and twisted as you, i might also be as enlightened and awesome as you."
i dunno. but anyway, today's weather was classic Cleveland. sunny, rainy, REALLY sunny, then muggy, a little storm, and now an overcast sunset. awesome
some people hate rainy weather, but i celebrate it. nothing like a little raincloud to bring in some good luck and new life
