For the first time in probably 3 yeas I am going to try and make an AMV. Which means anime music video.
I quit 3 years ago when I moved from Fort Mac to Vancouver and since then I haven't had the time. I basically have 2 weeks of nothing to do and I dont have the budget to go anywhere till I start my new job.
I could have made another AMV I suppose given the time but I felt there wasn't anything to do or say, AMs mean different to me than to others at least when I made them, to me it was like making my own story out of a story (anime), or I would take my favorite characters and twist the anime around to sort tell a character profile of a character. For example Orson in Record Of Lodoss War (old school anime i doubt anyone would remember it), I mean he was never a main character but there was enough footage to make a good AMV out of it to sort of tell his story.
Why after all these years I don't know maybe I feel like I got something to say again, maybe its boredom or maybe because creating things gives me the only real satisfaction anymore. I haven't made a short film in 2 years mostly for the fact that I haven't had enough money or any help. However I have written a short that is so bare bones that it can be done with very little amount of help, just 2 or if I am lucky 3 people. Then all I would need is a cast of 4 which would be the more painstaking problem.
Trying to figure out how to find m way around the typical things I need for my film, I can't cheat around sound and a tripod that I will have to rent unless I can find a way around by getting it from VFS I doubt that they would give it to me since they have screwed me over so many time when it comes to that. Light however are a different matter and good thing because light could be the more expensive part of the film. I have been told that I can use hardware lights and just buy bulk silk for diffusion of light) to cheat paying 5 times more for "film" lights you are pretty much just paying for the "film" aspect. me and my friend Tyler are going to look around at these lights since he is trying to get his production company off the ground I am helping him in turn he helps me do my short films every once in awhile.
