Hello Ladies and Gents of SG land, I am back from my leave of absence, while I was away some things went well, somethings not so well, and a new beginning for me that I couldn’t be happier about. Let’s start with the not so well events, and finish with the good. My wife Cat left me after having a miscarriage, she was inconsolable, no matter what I did I just couldn’t get her to come back to the bright side, and try again or find out why things happened the way they did. I haven’t heard from her since she left in January this year.
I graduated school from the University of Denver, magna cum laude with a degree in computer science with an emphasis on web development. I continue to make efforts to stay in shape, I eat well, and maintain a sober lifestyle of no alcohol, occasionally I’ll smoke weed, but I’m not a regular weed head like I was. I started my own web development company, as well as starting a sweet shop with my longtime chef friend.
My exit from the pizza shop was both heartbreaking, and uplifting, since quitting I have found a job working as a front end web developer for a company that I adore, and cares about there employees. I don’t miss working in a kitchen, in any sort of way. I am the owner of the sweet shop, and come up with recipes for sweets. Which I do from home in my kitchen on my own terms while my chef friend runs the business along with my friends daughter. and a former coworker from the pizza shop. So my involvement is purely managerial if that even.
I love the world of web development, the hours are fantastic, the benefits are great, and I can work from home, we only work from the office one week a month to have meetings, and design/brainstorm sessions, I also started my own design company which I do freelance work on, to get my name out in the development world. So if you would like an app or site developed I would be willing to design it. My rates are on the cheap side because I’m still new to the field, if I like you or happen to know you personally I’ve been Known to throw some pro bono work around.
