Hello ladies and gents! Welcome to the latest edition of the music blog. I’ve been loving life as of late, I have lost 59 pounds which puts me at 196. I feel great, I had to donate some of my old clothes to the ARC, because they just didn’t fit anymore. I also have muscles now which is amazing since I used to be a flabby disaster. Cat has a new job at a dispensary, after quitting the diner. She’s a lot happier. So am I since I no longer have to listen to her gripes about her assclown old boss. It’s also great because she gets free weed. I’ve gotten into vegan baking since I no longer eat refined sugars. It’s been real fun and eye opening. Having Cat as a tester has been the best part because she then gives them to her dispensary friends who are vegans and they love them and have started purchasing them from us, making for a profitable side hustle. Enough jibber jabber
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the new Jenny Lewis record. She gets better with every release. Her voice is so angelic and the music is bordering on funky. I’ve been feeling this track
Todays subject is one that I’ve been tossing around for awhile. Rocket From The Crypt is one of those bands that I did not like when I first heard them at the second warped tour (yeah I’m old, I don’t care) I had friends that were in love with them so I gave them another chance, I’ve become a fan so here is my playlist of RFTC songs.
John Reis aka Speedo started Rocket From The Crypt in 1989 in San Diego, California. They combined punk rock with a 50’s rock vibe and the following ensued. The debut album Paint As A Fragrance was released in 1991. This track is my favorite
The next album was their first major label release. Circa:Now was the first to feature saxophonist Apollo 9. This song is pretty rockin
The next album Hot Charity also saw a new member join the lineup JC 2000 joined the horn section by adding his trumpet. This song is seriously boss.
The next record saw some serious production from the band, strings, piano, and various other studio magic since they had major label money. Scream Dracula Scream broke the band to the mainstream. This song is my favorite
The next record simply titled RFTC was really overblown with back up singers and over the top production. Not many people enjoy this album it is probably my least favorite. This song is okay
Following a brief hiatus and being dropped from their major label. Drummer Atom was replaced by Ruby Mars. Injecting life into the band they released my favorite record Group Sounds. Featuring this track
the next record would prove to be their last. Live from Camp X-Ray was short and sweet. Which pissed of some folks but the band was at its breaking point which was three years in the making. This track rocks pretty hard
Todays bum is a cutie who I don’t know much about, she is hella cute( that’s what I do know) the gorgeous @lagoona
Have a wonderful time everyone!
