Hola, Oi, Ciao, Hello foxy ladies and gents. Another fabulous Sunday here in Colorado. Due to the frigid weather our morning bike ride was canceled, so we did Yoga instead for our morning workout, later I will be getting some time in with the pull up bar. One of the best things about getting in shape has been, not feeling like garbage when I wake up. Every morning I wake up refreshed and ready to take on whatever comes my way. I also haven’t had any cravings for junk food since I’ve altered my diet. Cat thought I was going to cave, I’ve stayed strong to prove her wrong. I love her to death but sometimes she’s a negative Nancy. Our band is recording our debut record, which is exciting. Five songs clocking in at over an hour.

Today would have been my dad’s 71st birthday, so my blog today will be about the bands, singers, and composers he enjoyed. First up is a group that my dad loved since he first heard them as teenager in the early sixties. Featuring Eric Clapton on guitar, Cream was a supergroup of sorts. One of my dad’s favorite guitarists. This was his favorite song.

My dad was a die hard Led Zeppelin fan, the first rock record I ever heard was their debut album, the song that we would jam together was this classic.

Another group my dad was heavy into was The Rolling Stones, he had every single they released. He was always playing this 45 while doing housework.

When I was 17 my dad took me to see this next group on their reunion tour. I didn’t know what to expect because, I wasn’t really into the softer rock of the seventies as teenager, I love it now.

My mother is a classically trained piano player and steeped in classical music, due in part to my departed grandmother. She got my dad into this next piece of music. We went as a family to see the Denver symphony perform this amazing

Another piece of classical music my dad was into is this piece by Johan Sebastian Bach. I became a fan of Bach because of this piece.

To this day I will never understand my dad’s fascination with Barbara Streisand. He had all her records and various box sets. Owned all her movies. This song was always his favorite.

It’s because of my dad that I have a deep love of Jimi Hendrix. I remember hearing this next song and being enamored with sounds coming out of the stereo.

Today’s bum is a Spanish cutie, who is absolutely stunning and her photos are always gorgeous. The babely @manson

Have a great day everyone!

Not sure which I enjoy more in these posts, the music or the beautiful ladies. I have to say, your folks gave you an amazing gift: the love of music. That and their taste in tunes is top notch. I lost my dad 11 years ago, and I still find myself gravitating toward some of his musical favorites.   Oh, and @manson is pretty spectacular.

@jaxons We are definitely a musical family, my sisters were in the choir, my mom taught us all how to play piano. Some families gather around the TV ours gathered around the stereo. Have you made it to any wings games?
