Hello everyone and welcome back!
The new Chvrches album is the most mainstream of the three records they have released. So a lot of people are going to slam it. I have no problem with a group wanting to achieve success. The first song “Graffiti” kicks off with a song about teenagers in love writing on bathroom stalls. The subject matter gets a little bleaker after this, which is good I find that pop songs with darker subjects are more enjoyable. E.g. “pumped up kicks”
The new Thunderpussy record is some guns blazing, kick you in the face, lady rock. Holy smokes are they good. “Velvet Noose” is my favorite track. The guitars are wonderfully distorted and the rhythm section keeps up the intensity through the whole album, definitely worth a listen.
The new A$AP Rocky is weird to just be weird, his raps are great, which is unfortunate, because the music is weird for weirds sake. Which is cool if your Merzbow or Melt Banana, but your not so just do you.
The new Pusha T mixtape is fire. I have been a fan of Pusha T since the clipse and he does not relent here. His smooth delivery and icy demeanor shine on every track. When he does come with a new full length it will be album of the year. Normally you won’t find me saying anything nice about Kanye Kardashian I mean West, his beats don’t disappoint unlike him which is a phenomenal disappointment.
For my local release. I have been spinning the new Wayfarer release “Worlds Blood” if your a fan of black metal that’s both punishing and atmospheric, definitely check this out.
Today’s bum is the babely Saturn, gotta love that pizza slice tattoo. Such a babe!
