Today wasn't quite milhouse but it wasn't too shitty either, a lot of ups and downs that I think evened out pretty well.
First I get to work, not too long there and the first alarm goes off, these aren't any normal fire alarms either. We've got some super industrial shit that makes sure people a block away know your building is burning down. One of these is conveniently placed by the emergency exit so you get a nice wave of ear drum shattering alarm as you flee for safety.
While out there I happen to run into this girl that works there that I'm quite keen on. She apperently just got back from vacation which I thought she was on all week. Because of this I haven't trimmed my beard or anything in like two weeks, because who the fuck else would I care what I look like to? So I look pretty crazy/hillside strangler-ish.....add to this I was really surprised to see here all my brain could come up with when I saw her was "I thought you were gone"...she just smiled and walked away - as you can see I'm the smoothest guy on the planet! Do'h!
Then not long after we come back in the building half of the power goes out, the way the building is setup everything is out except emergency lights and our department. Not too bad, the AC is off so it's not an icebox anymore, until the maintenance guys decide to be nice and bring some industrial sized fans over, its pretty fucking cold once again.
Then during the day I'm listening to some music, some Screeching Weasel comes on. They're catchy ass song "I Wanna Be A Homosexual" me half zoning out just starts singing along in the middle of work, I caught myself pretty quickly so I spared myself all the strange looks I get when normally caught singing along to this one.
Then my lunch break I roll over to Best Buy to pick up Iron Maiden: Flight 666. I grabbed one of the last 2 DVD's they had, but they were sold out of the CD, major bummer but my day is totally awesome now because I have a new Iron Maiden DVD.
The Orioles win today!
I finally get off work and come home to find....the power had went out, which of course turned off my computer, which of course I was dumb as fuck and had some unsaved notes. Totally my fault, fuck me, oh well.
But it looks like the day ended on an upbeat because I just found out Futurama is getting renewed with 26 fucking episodes!!!!!!
