I'm beat, I'm sore and I'm tired but it was all worth it. Another sweet week had by me, going to more shows then I have in years. This week it was only 2 but they were very cool. Me, Lazerninja and Fire hit up the JapaNoodle Fever Tour show at the Ottobar on Thursday. It was pretty sweet Bakubeni put on a pretty good show and TsuShiMaMiRe almost stole the show, but Peelander-Z pulled out the awesomeness as always. Definitely a weird show though, not your normal show crowd, instead it was more like an anime con. Ive never seen a crowd of people watching a band just stand there and do nothing but take pictures....it was just, odd. Today me and Lazerninja ventured over to the Ten Car Pile Up for Celebrated Summer Records second second anniversary show. It was mega sweet. I wasn't too big on Braindead or Sick Fix however the rest was stunning. Deep Sleep put on probably the best set Ive ever seen them do, and the Ergs! Holy jesus, their last show in MD did not disappoint at all. By far the best Ergs! set ever. One of the best sets Ive ever seen from anybody. It was the craziest shit I've ever been in the middle of. Oddly enough bouncing around on some message boards tonight Ive seen a lot of people that went to the show say the exact same thing. I'm still hoping they come to their senses and not break up, and that I can get to Jersey for their last show ever but I have no words that can describe how awesome that was. Half of the place was on stage for a good part of the set, bodies were flying everywhere, my glasses went in my pocket quick because there was no way they were staying on. The only bad thing was we were too beatup for the rest of the show so we bailed and missed Ruiner, which sucks but I've seen them a bunch of times, they normally pull out a good show too. We walked outside and got another surprise, from the inside the place looked packed but from the outside it looked like some sort of fest was going on, the entire block was filled with people. I guess thats it - my head hurts and I gotta work tomorrow.
