update on the Amtrakstravaganzaaaaaaa:
the Great Jaunt Out East lost a leg today as plans for staying with a friend in Tennessee collapsed in on themselves. reasons, which you will find fascinating, are as follows:
-TN has two Amtrak stations. both are around 3.5 hours from friend's town.
-so friend would have to pick me up, which for him would mean a 7-hour day of driving. this would be possible if he didn't have
-his crappy car and
-his crappy job. there's a lot of other baggage that goes with that and I won't get into it. in addition,
-he finally has a Real Job Interview ((he is 26 and working at a gas station, w00t)) and should probably pour all his energy into that possibility rather than hang out and watch anime with strange young females from the Midwest. nonetheless, SIIIIIIIIIGHHHHHH.
but the other half of the Great Jaunt Out East is still intact and awesomer than ever because things are actually becoming more definite. I'm spending a week with my dear friend Kelly, the most beautiful sack of snarkiness on the planet, and we may make excursions to NYC, Boston, and Cape Cod. if luck holds up I may spend some time with another friend in Vermont.

but after this, I don't know where the fuck to go. I've been thinking about going way the hell out west, like to Arizona or something. if you have any ideas, tell me noooowww because I need to start making reservations and junk alarmingly soon.
