I don't want to be that tool who posts lyrics by some generic new band but I want to tell you that last night "Wake Up" by Arcade Fire helped me feel sort of okay, because I was driving home from the weirdest day at work (midgets and deaf people and everything is my fault) and there were at least half a dozen deer walking toward the road from the woods across the street from a church, in procession, and I slowed down and watched them and hoped they didn't dash out and throw themselves against my car, and then I think they noticed me because they started running, but not away, they just ran along the side of the road for a while, ahead of my car or alongside me, who knows, but "Wake Up" was playing on 89.3 and they just kept running and I was in awe and it was one of those beautiful moments that you can keep but no one else will get it because it was by a band that eighth graders wear emblazoned on their hoodies and it was Birch Street in Lino Lakes and nobody thinks deer are pretty anymore.

my parents are eating bacon in the next room and I swear each bite sounds like they are crying. it's this warm crackling breathy sound, rustling newspaper and gnawing flesh, and every one sounds like a sob.

whatever.

You should go check that your parent's haven't become zombies while you weren't looking.

Cause that would be bad.

bacon-crying is one hell of an interesting image.
