So... an update... not much to report.
Went drinking on Saturday, didn't stay out very late, not much happened.
My old roommate sent me an email the other day saying that she's getting an apartment in Saint John starting next month. She's not real happy about having to go to school there, but at least she's decided against living with her 'rents and driving back and forth every day. Also now I'll have an excuse to go to SJ... not that there's much reason to go anyway other than going to Value Villiage and Old Navy. In fact, I hate that city... it's big and ugly and it smells. And the north end is full of crack houses. There. I said it.
I'm looking into getting a job as a "youth care worker". I'm not really sure what that means, but I think basically you work with kids who are in foster homes and/or have emotional problems and/or are addicted to drugs, and that kind of thing. Awesome. The pay is probably crap, and I'm sure it's incredibly stressful and you probably have to deal with the sort of things that keep a person up at night on a daily basis, but wtf else am I doing? Some of friends used to do youth work. How they stopped themselves from cuffing the mouthy little fucks is beyond me.
