Why can I not fly?
This feeling from within does doth rot against my skin
as I spread my wings and..........fall.

Plumeting with increasing speed towards the earth, the ground, the seed
I find myself in silent bliss
Could this........be the end of it all?

There is a face amongst the sky
and I stare into it's gaze, and lock upon it's eye
The spinning, spiraling pupil forces breath between my lips
and I scream and shake my fist...."WHY"?!

And as I lay here in the grass and I marvel at the clouds
The winds across my face.......and the light and distant sounds

I'm slow to drift asleep, but one thought upon mind
I slip into the darkness........and I cry.

Why can I not fly?
