I signed up for MySpace yesterday so I could talk with folks I'll be working with this summer and I'm regretting it already.

It's as if they don't even bother to have servers that are adequate for the traffic they get... godforbid they actually have an aesthetically-pleasing, user-friendly site design. NewsCorp is strapped for cash, you know.

And goddammit, they really need to lay off the "Tom" bullshit. He has nothing to do with the site anymore. It's owned and run by fucking NewsCorp now. If folks really want a cute little independently-run blogging site, they use Diaryland. The MySpace crowd doesn't care. That charade really sucks, MySpace.

Myspace is the most unprofessional website I have ever seen that wasn't hosted by Geocities. What's with this whole "this feature is broken and will take a few weeks to fix" bullshit? If this was a site that anyone on the back end cared about, I guarantee you that someone's pager would have gone off at 2am and the feature would have been fixed a few frantic hours later, tops. This is just shoddy and stupid I hope the servers melt to fritzing goo in a massive fire.
