I was tagged by Rosa. This makes me feel livejournal-dirty, but I do what I must 
20 random things about myself:
1. I can play clarinet, Bb baritone horn, digeridoo, oboe, bassoon, and guitar. I can't play them well, but I can get by.
2. When I lost weight last year, my feet shrunk a whole size.
3. It drives me absolutely insane when people spell "matzah" as "maztoh".
4. I have two pairs of my red glasses with rhinestones, but only one has lenses.
5. I compulsively pick up toothpicks whenever I see them. I always have at least one on me.
6. On top of this computer monitor are a spotted Neopets Kau plushie, a plastic cactus with articulated joints that I got in a Kinder egg, and a beanie baby fox that I turned around because it was staring at me.
7. The book "Callahan's Crosstime Saloon" has indirectly brought me some of the happiest and most painful things in my life.
8. I hate the word "garment". "Blouse" is up there, too.
9. I once spent more than $50 on electrical tape.
10. Everyone at the podiatrist's office in my hometown knows me by name.
11. I ran away from school in grade four because the kids tormented me to the point of breakdown. I tried to go to my grandmother's house. The police picked me up and brought me back to the school and the principal told me that he was going to find the worst punishment he could for me. Interestingly enough, when the son of one of the town's most outspoken mothers did the same thing just for kicks a few years later, he was coddled and comforted. That principal died a few years back and because I am a horrible person, I was not sad at all.
12. I am related to the guy who invented the bar code. He got me a crappy watch for my bat mitzvah.
13. At one point in my life, I wanted to be a rabbi.
14. I met my significant other on IRC.
15. There is a freckle between the first two toes of my left foot.
16. I'm currently in the process of writing a book.
17. I collect evangelical pamphlets.
18. My main career goal is to never have a job where I have to wear real shoes.
19. I regularly strike up conversations with strangers.
20. I was on home instruction for the better part of my last two years of high school. They wouldn't let me walk at graduation.
