For those of you who were curious, "step up" (or sometimes just "up") is the standard command for a bird to step onto your hand.

Mine's out of sick days. I'm tempted to force him to stay home. Tie him to the bed, hide his keys, something like that. I'm really tempted to give in to the ick, too. Must ... stay ... alive!
