trying to cook some wild rice right now. i actually mastered white rice since i've had to cook it for my mom's dogs since she's been away [yeah, they're spoiled rotten]...but i think cooking things for myself could be tricky.

in other news, this has probably been one of the hardest/worst weeks of my life. only because i basically found out that my mom has suddenly decided to move seventy miles away...which, since i am still in school HERE, pretty much leaves me homeless. the worst part about this situation...is the fact that she is doing this for a guy. she could easily have waited a couple years to make this kind of change...given me a chance to finish school and get on my feet financially...but she has a tendency of putting the desires of men before her daughter's needs.

it just hurts so badly that she is willing to sacrifice my trust in her for her new husband...

but what can i do? i can be angry all i want...i can be sad and in pain and freaking out...but i don't really have a choice now: i am being forced to grow up and get my life together for myself. now i just have to figure out where to live and how to afford it...

this could be even trickier than that whole rice thing...
