a dollar. a dollar raise I didn't think was going to happen. oh yeah. ohhh yeah.
this means I'm going to get the digital camera I want without issue, with the fisheye lens for it. This means that someday soon an SB set will be shot and looked over and posted. Time to get nekkid. Actually, there will...

Eraserhead.
Last night was my first witnessing of the delerious psychosis that is David Lynch's disturbing cinematic joy. If you haven't seen it, I'm not going to tell you a thing about it. Oh, hey! You can get me a job in clinical social work? Or at least an internship? Wherein I can prove how much they need my mad therapy skillz?
That would be neat. Of course, I'm three to four years away from that.

nothing terribly exciting to say; caught a couple mediocre males playing guitars at dante's, folk implosion apparently wasn't going to show. didn't stick around. saw a guy getting arrested at a gas station off of burnside. now I'm drinking water.

Thanks.
I've never seen Requiem because I have horrible belonephobia, except my phobia is more related to needles actually going into skin. But... I'm not so fond of looking at hypodermic needles either, because then I'll think about the needles going into skin. I have to TiVo Fear Factor lately because they show needles in the opening segment. Yeah. I watch reality shows. We all have our flaws, don't we? Plus, I liked Joe Rogan on Newsradio.
Maybe if I could find someone to watch Requiem with me. Someone who has seen it before. They could tell me when to close my eyes and when it's safe to look and hold me so I don't freak out. I was never really, really compelled to see the movie, since I didn't have much of a crush on Jared Leto. I liked the boy who played Brian Krakow better. I have serious nerdlust.
Jennifer Connelly is cute. Someone told me that in the unedited version, Jennifer has sex with a double-headed dildo. I went to Lion Video to rent the unedited DVD just for that, but then I chickened out and rented Ringu. Which was equally stupid and masochistic since I had to sleep with the lights on after seeing the Naomi Watts American remake. The Japanese version is even scarier, and you know what? I need to rent the sequels. Fortunately, they have the movies on DVD. I refuse to watch them on VHS for obvious reasons. The reasons may be stupid, but... They're pretty obvious.
PS: Were you asking me out on a date in a roundabout way? If so, that's cool. Also, you live on the wrong coast.
I need to stop playing Sims Online.

I'm not entirely certain if you're serious about the Naked Nintendo set, but if you're going to do it, I think it's only fair that you know that I will be masturbating violently to your set.
Wait. I'm not sure if that's incentive to do the set or to run away screaming.

$.51 is not a raise, it's a formal Fuck You from Stupid Ugly Bastards.
Thus, $9.01 is not a living wage, certainly not when I could be working something less stressful or disease inducing for more money and actually have a future, so it's back to searching the sunday papers for a job. I don't like...

I spent the last few months making less than satisfactory wages myself. Then the fuckers fired me. I thought $10/hr was pretty bad, but I'm finding out that it was better than $0. *sigh* Fucking work!

an "Exit Music (for a film)" night
for sure
if you would like to spend
a quiet
relaxing day
in a beautiful half-moon cove
on the oregon coast
rain or shine
please
drop me a line
but really
I know I'm ending up there myself
to talk with the spirits in the surf
to feel the pull of the depths

four to seven years
a doctors diagnosis
like a death sentence
a countdown to eulogies
a time frame given
to repent all past sins transgressed
to say im sorry for the times i yelled
to promise that this laziness
will go away someday
due to their inspiration
its like some bad action movie
a time bomb of malignant cells...

it's a marvelous and wonderful thought
that just maybe
the millions of voices that rose together
this past weekend
will indeed
be heard.
what a beautiful future it would be
if that's the weaponry we could use
to shape the world:
ourselves,
our community.
love yourself
love each other
and we can define the world
in terms of love.

Hrm... it IS a gorgeous day out. Why don't you go to the ocean too?
I sometimes wish I had money or a private jet I could charter to fly people into Miami. Or, preferably, to fly out of Miami. I'm not kidding about the clubs, either. I have an in with the owners, and they let me in even though I'm not half as pretty or cool as most of the people they turn away at the door. I saw Iggy Pop there once. That was neat. And I see him a lot at shows at Churchill's, "the cradle of indie rock."
I have Nintendo. We will not play Duck Hunt, even though I have it. We could shoot clay shotputs, I suppose...
I'm silly.
