Slammed Wednesday night. One of the poets who attends my open mic came to slam and competed. Her poetry is beautiful. It's not slammy. She got decent, not great scores and was almost in tears after reading (she was second to the last reader). I was in first place by more than a point so she knew I would be in the second round. She STAYED until I read my second poem. And the moment I was finished, left to get a drink.

I hunted her down and gave her a BIG Kyle Hug...because Kyle Hugs are medicinal. Should be covered by medicare.
