So I won the San Jose Poetry Slam last night. Did A new piece that I had just finished writing about an hour before the slam titled "South San Jose Snoozle in Slam, Not by Dr Suess".

It was fun and the audience seemed to enjoy it.

Second round I did "Throwin' Rocks" my poem about the wonderfully chaotic woman that changed my life. Made some much needed prize money.

Anyway, I wanted to mention that the Open Mic I have been hosting At Sugar's Coffee Bar is being cancelled until further notice. The cancellation is entirely my doing as the owner of the venue has been jerking me around (it's a money and scheduling thing).

When he comes to his senses (if ever) and starts treating me right, I will start the show again.
