So I had a chance to go over the drawings with my illustrator (who remains nameless for now...it's a secret) and I expect to have the book "The Mean Tree" available by September.
It's strange to see someone else's idea of your characters and situations. I was kind of expecting the illustrations to be nasty and bloody (it's a nasty, bloody story), but the drawings are kind of humorous and mischievous...it's growing on me.
