Schools out in a college town. I figured the open mic I host Monday nights at the coffee shop would have sparse attendance. But it was also the first week that the ad that included my name as host appeared.

We had the biggest turn out ever.

That was nice...some good poetry too. I read my Christsmas story. I have posted my (evil) Christmas story...

So I go to the Poetry Slam Wednesday night to compete and hang with Mike Mcgee.

The girl before me gets a higher score than me. I KNOW I did a better performance than her, so I ask Mike "How did she get a better score than me?"

He didn't hesitate "She's young and she's cute."

Damn he was right.

FUCK YOUNG AND CUTE CHICKS!...

Even hosted a show in the midst of my malady, because I'm a tough bastard and the show must go on...though I'm not sure why the show must go on...but it must

Yes, it's true. Rolling Drunken Fratboys for a living is illegal. Though it seems to me it would be a public sercive.

I was discussing this with Heather the other day (she a tough little dyke with a fashion sense). Although fratboys should be fair game for me, I'd feel weird about rolling drunken sorority girls. I'd let her do that.

she answered "I'd rather...

Now...when you say fucked, do you mean "humped"...or...something entirely different and definitely more graphical?

Or do I even want to know that?
mentula:
I mean it in the "R" rated version of the word.

WARNING WARNING WARNING, POETRY ALERT, POEM ABOUT TO BEGIN.

[this is the very rough draft of my new spokenword piece]

The Language of the Conqueror

I am speaking to you in the language of the conqueror...and you are understanding me.

I am not speaking Apache or Hindi or Zulu or Welsh...I don't even know Welsh and it is the language of my fathers...of my people....

So I'm having a late breakfast at a greasy spoon restaurant (called Jack's) with this girl I know

It's the kind of place where pick-up trucks with gun racks are parked outside. She and I were discussing "artsy" things (cause ya know, we're bohemian, dude), and halfway through the meal the waitress takes the check from the table. I didn't even notice it but my...

A short poem

She has very assertive nipples.
It doesn't matter how many many layers of clothing she's wearing, they will make their existance known.

The Dangers of Planning

So this weekend just passed I was supposed to meet with three different people...okay not just people, women type people (none of your business who they are)

I got stood up by all three of them.

While this might not be a record it is a personal best. And it might just start affecting my ego...I might just start thinking I...
