Okay that birthday crap is over. Got some tobacco, which was a considerate and appreciated gift.

Today would have been My father's Birthday. Since My birthday is on the 26th we always used to share a birthday party on the 25th.

That was always my favorite part of birthdays....sharing it with my dad.

I miss his wisdom.

I went to the poetry slam in Chico for the first time ever last night. Did well, won some money. I would have done better but the judges were angst ridden college kids and I didn't play on their white guilt hard enough...next time though....

I have been writing like a madman. Desperate to finish as much as I possibly can. I feel like the dying tree that produces an abundance of fruit in it's last season, in hopes of leaving seedlings.
