This Just In Romance Not Dead!
So it was Valentines day the other week and instead of wallowing in self loathing which is what I do most of the time anyway I thought I'd actually do something so I ordered a bunch of 12 red roses for this girl at work that I like and had them delivered when I knew she would be working. It's funny how it splits people's opinions all the girls are coming up to me saying "awww that's really sweet" whereas most of the guys are like "What did you do that for?" I try explaining how I'd rather spend my money on making someone happy than getting even more stuff to pile up in my room and I'm just greeted with funny looks, maybe it's just me. I'm the last of a dying breed of hopeless romantics.
Doh!
So apparently people do read this stuff and my presence here is not completely unnoticed. Thanks for the comments on my previous post I guess I'm going through a downer at the moment. On the plus side I've literally just found out what the boards are which is my own fault really for not looking at stuff properly. Much fun has been had on the silliness boards I also get to show off my movie quoting prowess too.

I totally get what you're saying. I mean, as shy as I can be, and as unconfident as I usually am, I'm sure that if I went to a bar I could find someone.
But I'm looking for more than sex. I've had meaningless sex, and it's, well, meaningless.
I'm not saying I have to be madly in love with the person, but I want some level of care and concern to be involved.
It can take a while to build up friends on here, you just have to put yourself about a bit and not upset anyone. There is quite a few of us from in and around Leeds.
