Danger! Danger!
So I've started learning to drive more through necessity than a burning desire to wrap a car 'round a lamppost or look hard like most guys my age. The first lesson was kind of weird really, the whole time you're just sat there thinking "god this guy must think I'm a complete moron" even though you know he's had to do the same thing with loads of other people. The thing that was bugging me most was whether the guy was going to be a tool or not, luckily he's an alright guy.

New Playlist

I've acquired some new music over the last few days:

I think this is probably the best Ministry album since Psalm 69 back in '92 not that they haven't done other good stuff (Animositisomina is a personal favourite too) everything just seems to click into place on this album like a machine that's just been serviced and refueled. The punk stomp of "Assclown" ( with a contribution from Jello Biafra) and the likes of " Lies,Lies,Lies" and "Fear Is Big Business" with it's excellent line of "There's terrorists everywhere including my brain" are some of the best songs they've done in the last 10 years or so. I love that cover art too.

This contains two of my favourite songs "Teardrop" and "Unfinished Sympathy" when it comes to slightly sinister chill out groove music Massive Attack really are at the head of the pack.

This is the first Hatebreed album I've got, it has an inherent Ronseal appeal to it "It does exactly what it says on the tin"
Hatebreed don't really do songs they do short, focused shots of sonic adrenaline like "Live For This" and "Another Day, Another Vendetta" singer Jamey Jasta is an impressive vocal force reminds me of Phill Anselmo with his powerful delivery but not resorting to incomprehensible growls or screams like other vocalists.

I'm a big fan of Killing Joke who unlike most other bands who seem to get weaker and more watered down the older they get the Joke seem to get more aggressive and ugly the older they get you only have to hear the likes of "Hosannas From The Basements Of Hell" to see that with it's rumbling bass line and sinister but subtle keyboard effects.

i have my whole music collection backed-up on my external hard drive.
what i lost was 2 months worth of music (and other stuff) that i acquired before my pc crashed - and failed to back-up. and that included everythin that you had sent me.
ah well... we'll make up for that soon enough.
