I am the proud owner of two new tickets to Ireland with a 12 hour layover in Frankfurt. Imagine this...a painfully long flight from Houston to Germany to be followed immediately by 12 hours of food, cathedrals, and delicious beer. Then a quick hop to Dublin, where I will spend two weeks exploring both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Cliffs of Moher, Book of Kells, Giants Causeway, Down Cathedral, Newgrange....good times. The climax leading to nothing less ecstatic than days and days of drinking in celebration of Saint Patrick and his glorious holiday. Saint Patrick's day in Ireland...what can be better?
Some of you may have noticed Guy Fawkes day was last Sunday. I managed to save over $200 worth of fireworks from last July for just that occasion. If any of you live in the Montrose area of Houston you might have heard hoots, hollers, and loud ass fireworks going off near your house.
I even managed to capture a bit of the festivities for your viewing pleasure.
