Back in the days, wait that sounds like am really getting old.
But another passion ever since i was some springs younger was making music.
It started with an Amiga 500 with 4 tracks, and playing around with samples and whatever i could i get my hands on. The great things about music or sampling is that you learn more about where samples come from and then listen to the original artist themself to discover they are even more awesome. Good example is Bob james i guess.
One of the first breaks i think we all heard over and over was the Amen break by the Winstons.
Especially in the late 80s/90s hiphop area and later in the Jungle and early drum and bass periode.
So if you are nodding your head right now, i would defenitly check out this 20 minute documentary that tells you the full history of the break, legal rights, etc etc. It is so worth it if you heart music..

Leuk om ook een paar oude namen te horen. Mijn mams vond Mantronix bevoorbeeld erg leuk, haha, Fred Perry vond ik vroeger helemaal geweldig! Drum&bass ben ik eigenlijk na eind jaren '90 uit het oog verloren. Ben laatst wel weer eens naar een feestje geweest maar ik vond het niet zo boeiend!
Wist trouwens niet dat je tegenwoordig filmpjes van 20 min kon posten. Was toch altijd 10?
