Today is my last day of work. I gave a three week notice, and got five days. So much for twelve years of loyalty. This has been a long time coming, and I feel an incredible sense of relief. The one thing that frightens me is not having a new job yet. I'm sure things will work out.
So, I got my hair cut this morning, and I was telling the girls at the salon my dilemma. They all seem to think I should work at the salon as a shampoo boy! Ha! I don't think it's my line of work.
It's raining outside. This morning, you could smell the rain coming, and feel it in the air. When it finally started, the earth smelled so good. It was like when things haven't been wet for a while, and then they finally get rain, and unleash wonderful smells. Mmmm.
Last night, I went out riding on my cruiser bike at about ten o'clock. Picture an electric blue cruiser with high rise "ape hanger" handle bars, flame tread tires, chrome fenders, and dice valve caps. There's me pedling around my neighborhood without a care in the world. I remember going down a big hill, and standing up on the pedddles, and laughing out loud as I flew down. I wish I could experience the joy that I felt right at that moment all the time.

this past spring when i went to my woodfiring, it rained the first day i got there.. and the smell of the Earth was so incredible.. it was a soft rain.. and then a double rainbow appeared. I love the rain.. it just renews the Earth in such a comforting way.
