I went to see the Pirates play the Cubs this afternoon. It was a spontaneous decision, and what a good one. The weather was perfect for watching baseball, and PNC Park is just an awesome place to see a ball game. Yeah, so the Pirates lost...at least I got to see Greg Maddox pitch. I'd really like to get to Baltimore this summer to see a game at Camden Yards, but of course the one weekend I plan on going there, the Orioles are away. The other park I'd like to try and get to this summer is Cleveland.
On the way home from the game, I stopped to see my former neighbors. They are very nice people, but white trash in almost every sense of the term. I got to do two things I've never done while visiting them; drink Coors Original out of a can, and watch NASCAR! I have to say, NO, I DID NOT LIKE IT. They tried to get me to play horse shoes after the race was over, but I managed to get out of there. It was getting a little too white-trashy for me.
