I suppose this is the always unoriginal "I haven't posted in a while" post. As trite as it sounds, there really hasn't been anything interesting to say. Work has been crazy, and life has been keeping me busy.

I've been riding my bicycle every chance I get. If there ever was a time to promote bicycle advocacy, I think this is the time. With gas prices as high as they are, and the economy in the shape that it's in, I'd like to see more people riding bikes. At the very least, I'd like to see those who don't ride become more tolerant of the people that do. Friday, I had several people yell from cars in an effort to scare me and make me crash. Today, someone almost hit me as a rode with my 19 month old son in a trailer because they were on their cell phone. What's the matter with people?...Seriously.....

There's something to be said for buying music. I don't mean music online, but actual cd's. For a long time, I had an eMusic account, and most of the music I was listening to was downloaded from there. I was sort of getting bunt out on it, and choices were becoming more limited, so I decided to make a concerted effort to start buying more cd's on a regular basis. Today, I picked up the new releases from The Breeders and Flight of the Conchords. The artwork and presentation in both cd's was unique, interesting, and very impressive. It reminded me of buying albums, coming home to open them up, and marveling at the album art inside while you listened to the music. These two purchases made me want to do that again. I truly believe that artists and record companies should continue to create original packaging like this so cd's don't disappear like albums did. I, for one, would be really sad if my only access to music was downloads.
