Theres a guy named efren that taught me to appreciate life. Efren was full of life.. so full of life. every second mattered to him, every bird chirping, every thunderstorm, ever ray of sunshine. He appreciated it all, and took it all in. Some people arent meant to live until theyre old and grey, they are put on this earth for a short period of time.. just to prove something. then the universe sweeps them away, onto another life, to teach someone else.

..efren taught me to sieze the day. everyday matters.
Efren was eighteen years old when he died in 2008. He was going to get his grandmother new winter boots. Efren borrowed his uncles bar, which had balding tires. Skidding on the ice, he lost control of the car and died on impact. I spoke with him a few days before he passed away, we were coincidently talking about death. he said, "if i died tommorow, id die happy." and so he did.

This is for you, my friend. my fondest memories are of you riding around on your skateboard, from town to town.. passing everyone youd meet, you'd always stop and say hello.

..heaven IS a halfpipe, im sure.
