I've been arguing with my boyfriend about this song. Our first real pop culture disagreement. I think it is awesome. He thinks it is one of the worst covers ever and that Freddy Mercury is probably rolling over in his grave.

Oh my god. Why has no one ever introduced me to role playing games before now? I always thought they sounded kind of dumb but I just spent the weekend playing Call of Cthulhu, Champions & D&D and I don't remember the last time I had that much fun. And I met so many really cool, hilariously funny people. It was awesome.

I am glad to hear of your long term good, seems like it overshadows the short term, and for the most part that is all we can ask for.

I didn't know you were Hmong, I know a little about the people from a class I took years ago, but I am glad you have a great family that exposed you to many things. I think one of the worse things any culture or people these days can do is keep everything wrapped up in one little world. Definitely have a respect for where you come from and teach the customs but the world is a big place and we all need an understanding of that.

Me, I'm good, we got a new pile of snow last night, but I'm good. It's going to kind of suck working in it today, but I will be alright, I got my layers to wear and all that. Otherwise I keep on going in a good direction as far as I can tell, so life is good. biggrin

So I have been watching a lot of BBC programming lately. I'd never really seen much of it until I met my boyfriend. I'm really curious now. Is British television really that much better or is it just that we only end up seeing the best of it over here? It's all so good.

Survivors looked interesting when I saw the previews. Torchwood, the Doctor Who spinoff, is really good too, and Being Human is very interesting.
